PowerCycle is an effective software testing methodology that makes testing an integral part of your software development lifecycle. Our lifecycle testing approach ensures that testing is integrated throughout the development process rather than at the end, as is frequently the case. PowerCycle ensures there is a relevant testing activity for each phase of the development process including the often-overlooked product requirements phase. Our methodology helps prevent the migration of defects from one development phase to another.

The PowerCycle approach is based upon the fundamental principle of starting the testing life cycle when you start the development life cycle. Testing continues in parallel with development and testing processes are integrated at the most effective points in the development processes. PowerCycle is applicable for all types of software and all environments. It can be tailored for any type of software development project model such as waterfall, spiral or incremental build.

Management Tool Integration

To support our PowerCycle testing methodology, we prefer HP’s TestDirector for Quality Center as a database repository for maintaining your test plan information. TestDirector allows testers, developers and management to communicate testing information across different sites to one central repository. Our database management implementation will help you stay organized, gain access to your test information at any time, review regression test results and know if the quality requirements for your project are being met.

Although we prefer TestDirector, we are able to integrate our PowerCycle testing methodology with your internal corporate standard if necessary.
